Job Description

The senior Field Applications Engineer will ensure that our OEM customers are supported throughout the customer's design, development and qualification process of our Flash memory products products, as well as during production ramp and high volume production. This position will develop and nurture relationships with assigned customers as the key person for technical information and bug support.

- Focal point for supporting customer inquiries seeking technical help.
- Focal point for representing customers issues to the internal development teams.
- Assisting sales and marketing with customers technical inquiries. 
- Feedback customer informtaion to internal development and marketing teams

Qualifications

- Embedded C and C++ coding experience on popular embedded processors is a plus
- Knowledge of the following storage protocols: IDE/ATA, USB, SATA, and PCIE
- Overall knowledge in a storage product, such as SSD, or HDD, or tape drive.
- Experience with NAND Flash 
- Knowledge of bench testing and software DVT techniques 
- BSEE/CS required, MSEE/CS preferred 
- 10-15 years working storage experience 
-Strong experience in trouble shooting, duplicating the customer's problem, presenting the test results to the development team for a solution, track the progress of the solution, and keeping the customer informed throughout the process.
- Solid product, team and time management skills 
- Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at once 
- Must be detail oriented with good organization and analytical skills 
- Good communication skills 
- Ability to plan and execute work independently

In this position, the individual will be responsible for developing relationships with key strategic customers and key manufacturing partners in the solid state drive industry. The individual will also oversea the promotion of Fortasa products, develop technical and marketing collateral, analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities and develop strategic direction from market information and help management in creating a compelling market strategy.

Qualifications

This position requires a BS/BA degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent with 9 or more years of related experience. The individual must also be able to develop trust relationship based on his personal and technical skills, see the “big picture” while at the same time understand the low level details that drive the all market and transform this understanding to a clear presentation that need to be communicated to the market, as well as internally in the organization. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Develop relationships with customers, sales partners and distributors throughout North America
Identify, develop and close new sales opportunities throughout North America
Identify and report on opportunities in target markets
Set-up customer meetings and give product and company presentations
Negotiate sales contracts and cooperation agreements

Qualifications

This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 4 or more years of related sales experience in North America 
Experience in managing a sales organization
